If you hear someone telling you that eating healthy is more expensive, don’t believe it. The truth is that eating healthy can be done without spending a lot of money. It is just a matter of being resourceful. If you know where to buy cheap ingredients and you constantly practice the habit of eating healthy, it can be done.
Start by eliminating dinner outside. This is an unhealthy practice in a sense that you don’t know exactly what goes into the food that you are eating. Cook at home so you can control the ingredients. You can also avoid too much salt and oil.
Plan your meals ahead of time so you know exactly what to buy when you are in the grocery. Of course, you need to have a list with you. If there are lanes exclusively for healthy or organic ingredients, stay on that lane.
You might be tempted to buy unhealthy foods like processed meat, canned goods or sweets. Make sure you don’t give in to this temptation. You must start forming the habit of eating healthy.
There are times when you feel like giving up on this idea. If it happens, just think of all the benefits you will get from eating healthy and saving money. This will motivate you to just stick with the plan.
